This intermediate kit includes enough alpaca batting to create one pair of felted mittens, roving to create a design of your choosing, material to cut out a pattern/template, bubble wrap to use as your felting surface, and step-by-step illustrated instructions. Felted mittens require no knitting or crocheting, have no seams, can be custom fit to your own hand, and can be finished in 2-3 hours. Some wet felting experience is most helpful.

Color of batt included in kit will be a natural color and determined by what we have on hand at the time you order. At this time, we have mostly light fawn and medium brown.

Felted alpaca mittens are extremely durable, water resistant, and wind repellent. Alpaca has the ability to adjust to the air temperature, is hypoallergenic, and odor resistant. Felted alpaca has the unique characteristic of having high warmth while being somewhat thinner than much of the felted wool. It also has none of the itch sometimes associated with wool.

Felted alpaca mittens are great for skiing, snow shoveling, recess duty, doing chores, or long winter walks. They also make wonderful gifts! So do Mitten Felting Kits!
