This alpaca yarn was mill spun from 100% alpaca fiber and is a three ply Worsted weight yarn. America's Natural Fiberworks, a natural fiber processing mill that specializes in alpaca fleece, located in Somerville, Ohio, did the processing of this beautiful yarn. The fiber used for this yarn was grown by three of the alpacas that live at our farm, Alpaca Meadows, in Mansfield, Ohio. The alpacas' names are Annalise and Amelia, two sisters, and one of breeding males named Derecho.
Barberpole alpaca yarn, known for its unique striped appearance created by twisting different colored fibers together, is perfect for a variety of knitting and crocheting projects.
