This beginner’s kit will help you to learn the basics of needle felting. The kit includes five different Halloween designs to cut out and use as stencils for your felted creations. Designs can be felted as individual shapes to make into pins, ornaments, or magnets. They can also be felted onto jeans, a sweatshirt, a canvas bag, a piece of felt, or onto the fabric included in kit. Step-by-step instructions, patterns, alpaca wool roving, backing fabric, re-usable felting foam and two felting needles are included.

Felting inside a cookie cutter is another fun way to needle felt, but this is easier because there are no edges to risk poking which often causes needle breakage.

Needle Felting is an enjoyable craft that is a bit like “painting”, but with fiber. Felting needles have barbs at the end of the shaft which tangles fibers together as you poke the needle repeatedly through the layers of fiber. The more you poke, the firmer the felted fabric will become.

Great kit for adults, or children ages 10 and up with adult supervision.
