In this class you will learn to needle felt a three dimensional snowman out of alpaca wool fiber, complete with whatever accessories you decide to dress him/her in. This is a fun class and everyone’s snowman turns out so different than the others. Great gift or Christmas decoration for your own home!

Needle felting is the process of using a barbed needle to repeatedly jab natural fibers causing the fiber to tangle and become compacted into flat pieces or three-dimensional sculptures.

You will learn how to create a core shape, how to wrap roving around the shape to begin the needle felting process, and how to create other three-dimensional shapes such as a carrot nose, arms, and a hat of your choice. Needle felting skills learned in this class will enable you to create other felted projects on your own.

This class is geared towards beginners as well as those with previous felting experience. Creativity is not a requirement and there are no mistakes when it comes to this fun craft.

All materials are included, felting tools and foam surface to work on are provided for use in class. Felting Supplies are also available to purchase should you want to do more needle felting at home.

Class participants must be 16 or older, but kids 12-15 may register with an adult companion also enrolled in the class.
