Hand carders are used in pairs to prepare fiber or to blend fiber types. Lightweight and easy to carry, and with a curved back design, they produce small rolags ready for spinning. These smaller carders have a comfortable round handle. The carding cloth has stainless steel wire and rubber backing.

Carding cloth on hand cards is considered Fine at 108 PPSI (points per square inch), also referred to as TPI (teeth per inch). They work well for Cotton and other short staple fibers.
