Hand-dyed mohair locks from our Angora goat, Lola whose fiber is grey, in a color called Madder Orange. These lustrous locks average 5 inches in length and are ideal for doll hair, spinning, felting, weaving, and textured fiber arts projects.
This mohair was hand dyed using Gaywool dyes, washed multiple times, and carefully hand picked to remove most vegetable matter while preserving the natural texture and character of the fiber.
• 2 ounces hand-dyed mohair locks
• Approximately 5 inch locks
• From our Angora goat, Lola
• Dyed with Gaywool dye in Madder Orange over grey fiber
• Soft with beautiful sheen and luster
• Washed and hand picked
Because this is a natural animal fiber that has been washed and hand dyed, some variation in lock structure, texture, and color is normal. Dyed mohair can develop a soft halo or slight fuzzing during processing, separating, and shipping.
Tiny bits of vegetable matter trapped within the locks are inevitable with natural fiber, but usually pick out easily by hand.
Every effort is made to photograph the color accurately, though colors may vary slightly depending on screen settings and lighting conditions.
If locks become compressed during shipping, lightly mist with water or diluted hair conditioner and gently separate with your fingers to restore softness and definition.
