This beautiful Suri alpaca fiber comes from Shiya, one of our older alpacas. Her fiber has been carefully skirted, prewashed, and hand dyed with Black Gaywool Dye, ready for your next fiber arts project.
The color is not a uniform solid black throughout. Instead, you'll find variations of black, charcoal, and gray, giving the fiber beautiful depth and dimension.
The locks average approximately 4 inches in length, with some shorter and some longer. As fiber from an older alpaca, it is less fine than fiber from a younger animal but still offers the distinctive luster, drape, and lock structure of Suri alpaca.
