This Suri alpaca fiber was grown by Savannah, one of the beautiful suri alpacas at Alpaca Meadows. As a mature fleece, her fiber offers beautiful luster, strength, and character — ideal for projects that benefit from structure and shine.

The staple length is approximately 3 inches.

Carefully skirted and prewashed, this fiber is ready to card, spin, or blend. Suri alpaca is known for producing silky yarn with natural sheen and graceful drape. Even a small percentage added to a blend enhances luster and durability.

Suri locks may also be spun directly for textured yarns with wonderful movement.

This fiber has been gently washed and hand picked to reduce vegetable matter. As with all farm-grown fleece, small bits of hay may occasionally remain and can be easily removed during processing.
