This Suri alpaca fiber was grown by Lorelei, who was 17 years old at the time of shearing. She is the matriarch in our herd and a wonderful mother. As a mature fleece, her fiber offers beautiful sheen, strength, and softness— ideal for projects that benefit from structure and shine.The staple length is approximately 4.5 inches.

Carefully skirted and prewashed, this fiber is ready to card, spin, or blend. Suri alpaca is known for producing silky yarn with natural sheen and graceful drape. Even a small percentage added to a blend enhances luster and durability.Suri locks may also be spun directly for textured yarns with wonderful movement.
