This Suri alpaca fiber was grown by Margo, one of the beautiful suri alpacas at Alpaca Meadows. Her fleece is beautifully fine, silky, and naturally lustrous. The fiber offers exceptional softness with a smooth handle and lovely drape — especially well-suited for lightweight yarn and next-to-skin projects.
The staple length is approximately 4 inches.
Carefully skirted and prewashed, this fiber is ready to card, spin, or blend. Suri alpaca is known for producing silky yarn with natural sheen and graceful drape. Even a small percentage added to a blend enhances luster and durability.Suri locks may also be spun directly for textured yarns with wonderful movement.
