Have you ever wondered how loose fiber can be transformed into a sturdy, three-dimensional piece of felt? Come discover the fun of wet felting while creating your own colorful felted bowl!

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to layer wool fibers and use water, soap, and agitation to create strong, durable felt. We’ll work step-by-step to shape the fiber into a small bowl that is both decorative and functional.

You’ll learn:

• How to properly lay out fiber for wet felting
• How water, soap, and agitation work together to create felt
• How to work with a resist to create a seamless, three-dimensional shape
• How to shrink, shape, and strengthen your felt
• How to finish and shape your bowl

Choose from a variety of fiber colors to make your bowl uniquely your own. No two will turn out exactly alike!

Wet felting is a wonderfully tactile and creative process. Come ready to get your hands wet, play with color, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of fiber art.

Included in Fee

All fiber and supplies needed to create one wet felted bowl are included in the class fee. Felting tools and equipment will be provided for use during class.

What to Bring

Please bring an old bath towel. Wet felting involves plenty of water, so wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little wet.

Class Time

Class will begin at 1 PM and finish about 4:00 PM.

Age Guidelines

This class is designed for participants ages 16 and older. Youth ages 12–15 are welcome to attend when registered with an adult companion who is also enrolled in the class.
