Our Alpaca Art Yarns are produced from the fiber of our very own herd, and are hand spun from uncarded locks of Suri Fiber, and sometimes Huacaya Fiber, the two breeds of alpaca, using both natural and hand dyed colors. Occasionally you may even find some Mohair from our Angora goats. The result is a unique yarn that is overspun, thick and thin, with fluffy tufts of fiber and wispy curls of fiber protruding here and there. This yarn is an art form itself, or can be knit/crocheted into some spectacular pieces!
