This thick and thin, very bulky art yarn was hand spun from uncarded locks of light fawn Suri alpaca fiber, as well as locks of white Mohair, both natural colors, making this yarn especially fun and beautiful with lots of curl and texture. It is plied with white Cotton crochet thread and has fluffy tufts of fiber and wispy curls protruding throughout. It is luxuriously soft and wonderful to work with. It is the perfect yarn to use for embellishment or as the focal point of that special project ... it can be knit, crocheted, woven with, or untwisted and worn as is!
This art yarn would be lovely in a scarf or cowl, cuff for a pair of gloves, trim on a hat, edge for a sweater. I have made purses, headbands, lariats, and most commonly use it as an accent with other yarns. A large hook or needles is a must. I would suggest 11+ needles or hook size M-13+. Weavers love the texture that it gives interspersed with other yarns. A skein of art yarn also makes a very unique gift for a fiber friend!
